| Sep. 17th, 2009 09:57 am Oh baby! Finally, on 9/16/09 after 16 hrs of labor, Lisa and Clydie have their own little daughter, Chessie Elizabeth Rogers. She has the same initials as her dad and poppie, and was 5 lb 12 oz, 18 inches long. We are going home to Danville this weekend to meet her. Woot. 2 comments - Leave a comment | |

| Sep. 9th, 2009 02:09 pm We went to Little Rock this past weekend to visit Joe and Rachel. We had a pretty good time...just hung out really. Nothing extreme, just some hanging out and eating and drinking. The puggle went with us, which freaked Rachel out, but she was very well behaved and did a good job. So that was very nice. Paul and Amanda are coming down tomorrow night, and we're gonna be super touristy on Friday doing Dollywood and then the aquarium, followed by a chair lift up into the mountains. Saturday we'll prolly just hang out, maybe go to the mall, drink a few beers or something exciting like that.
Then after that we have nothing planned until Oct 25th. The calendar is being kept open for whenever Lisa goes into labor and finally pops out a bebe. Hopefully on a weekend, or at least maybe a Friday or something...haha. Her due date is Oct 4th which is a Sunday, so we shall see. Tata. Leave a comment

| Aug. 27th, 2009 01:02 pm Well, we made it back from NYC and boy, I’m exhausted. We got in Friday and hung out at the Knychalski’s house for a bit, then had some great Italian at Bertucci’s and hit up Croxley Ales, which was alright. We attempted to Guido search, but no orange men with spikey hair to be found. Saturday was Rob and Ebeth’s party, and good times were had. Too much alcohol intake for me, which resulted in being uber sick on Sunday. Let’s just say I wasn’t able to keep anything down until dinner at Dino’s at 630pm. I also joined the “I Puked on the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) Club” so I feel pretty special about that. We got into the city on Sunday afternoon, checked in and did a bit of walking, up to FAO and the Plaza and Central Park, Columbus Circle and then back down to Times Square. BBQ at Dino’s in Harlem for dinner was amazing, then we played Beirut/beerpong at The Gin Mill for a bit, and ended up at Barcelona Bar so I could have my Harry Potter shot. Yes! Monday we got up bright and early, mainly b/c our AC died in our room (UGH) then headed down to Wall St, 9/11 Memorial, then hit up Battery Park and took the ferry over to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Then we headed up to Tribeca to see the Ghostbusters firehouse, hit over to Canal St and did a little Chinatown, then up into Little Italy for lunch at Sal’s. Not the best, but it was food. Then we walked forever and a day around the East Village and Union Square area…it was freaking hot as hell too. We were exhausted after that, we so came back to the room for a bit to chill and rest. We did dinner that night down on St Mark’s at some great Chinese restaurant, then headed back to the hotel to pack. Of course, the AC died again during the night, even though we were put in another room, so that was lame, but luckily all we did in the morning was get up, get dressed and head out the door at 545am. We got back to Lex about noon, then drove to Danville to collect the puggle, then made it back to Knoxville around 5pm or so. And I am SO tired. We don’t have anything major planned for this weekend, thank goodness, so hopefully we will be able to sleep in some. Leave a comment | |

| Aug. 20th, 2009 08:31 am Woot woot... Finally…we’re leaving for NYC/LI tomorrow morning. We get in about 1pm, then heading to LI and probably hang out there for the evening, bar hopping and what not. Ebeth and Rob’s party is on Sat and that should be a good time. Hopefully the rain holds off some so we can swim. Sunday we’re heading into Manhattan, and take it from there. Gonna probably visit McSorley’s and Barcelona Bar, and we’re eating at a supposed-to-be awesome BBQ place in Harlem. Do some walking around, maybe upper east/west sides. Monday we’re doing the Statue of Liberty in the morning, then Wall St/911 Memorial, then head up to Chinatown and Little Italy, then prolly back up to Times Square and hang out. I’m pretty sure my feet are literally going to be the death of my this weekend. I might literally saw them off and put in stumps. They are hurting just sitting here at work, so I can only imagine how much walking they are gonna endure over the next 4 days. Not looking forward to it. That is about it for now. Hoping the day goes by quickly…so far it isn’t! Being anxious doesn’t help anything either… Leave a comment | |

| Jul. 31st, 2009 01:40 pm Not much, just felt like jotting a few lines. Work has been hella busy this week. Nothing too out of the ordinary, just a lot of the regular stuff and people not showing up when they're supposed to...which just pisses me off to no end. Arg...anywho...nothing going on this weekend, just hanging out. Gotta take the puggle to the vet tomorrow for some stuff, then probably just hang out. I got Inkhart to watch tonight or tomorrow...yea, don't ask. We also have Confessions of a Shopaholic to watch as well. Hopefully the massive rain will hold off at night so we can enjoy some neighborhood driveway drinking, cause let's be honest, that's always fun. Next weekend is Lisa's baby shower, so we'll be home in Danville for that. And it's less than a month away from our NY trip, so that is pretty exciting...woot woot! Leave a comment | |

| Jul. 20th, 2009 03:05 pm Ok, first things first...Harry Potter last Thursday night...I agree it was a little slow at times, but I still thought it was really good. It had a lot of exposition to explain in building up to the final book/movies, so I understand that. And HBC was definetely a scene-stealer. She was pretty awesome, I must say. Might have to go back when it comes to the dollar theatre.
We headed up to Cincy on Friday, and met V at Laura's place. We had dinner at Arthur's with the Kathmann's and Harry, then went drinking at Dana's where Chuck and Andy met us. We had a good time, and Brian was super drunk. Damn you, Harry and your gin. We ended up at PRC about 230am. Saturday, we just kind of hung out, went to Manning's keg party for an hour or so, then went down to Hofbrauhaus. Ate way too much and had no room for a lot of beer. We just came back and chilled the rest of the night. Overall, it was a good trip, but I'm tired from staying up so late b/c I'm what some people might call old!
Brian's parents and Nonna are coming to visit us this Thurs-Sat, so that should be fun. They're going to some quilt show one day, then a craft show in Gatlinburg the next, so I will be at work until they finish all of that fun.
I think that is about it for now though. Just work work work. Leave a comment

| Jul. 13th, 2009 12:48 pm It's gonna be a good week... FINALLY...it is here! Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince opens this week...yesssssssssssssss! I have been waiting for this freakin film for WAY too long. In celebration, I bought a new Bellatrix shirt from Hot Topic yesterday, sweet. I'm not wearing it to the movies or anything, but I'm just glad I was able to find one. We're going to see the movie Thursday night at 7pm, then we're heading to Cincy on Friday for the weekend. V is meeting us there, and we're gonna stay at Laura's place. Probably do Dana's on Fri night, then might just hang out by the pool on Sat, maybe do a Reds game that night, possibly Hofbraus, then stopping by a kegger, just like old times.
Hung out with the neighborhood on Friday night...had some drinks, etc. That's always fun to do. Em and Beau came down this weekend, so we met up with them in Pigeon Forge on Sat and played putt-putt and dorky wand waving MagiQuest, and we all loved it. Yea, we are losers, what can we say!?!
That is about it for now, though.

| Jul. 1st, 2009 04:14 pm Ok, long time no talk to. Let’s see… Amanda and Paul’s wedding went very well…had a good time and it was nice to get to hang out for a few days with everyone. Wish we could do it more often…hangout, not weddings. Been hanging out at the house for awhile, but we’re heading home to Danville this weekend for the 4th of July. Will be good to be home without an agenda or a wedding or something going on. Hope to hang out with Beth and Derrick some while we’re there. Will be heading up to Cincy mid-July to hang out with Laura and Victoria is coming down from Ann Arbor as well, so that will be fun. I’m sure a lot of drinking will occur, along with a Reds game perhaps. I already bought our tickets for Harry Potter on the 16th…can’t wait! I am a complete dork, but oh well. That’s what I do. Excited to see HBC in a bigger role this time around. I wanted to go back and re-read the book before going to see the movie, but I doubt I’ll get to it. Finally finished On The Road by Keroauc…and just started Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Only got about 30 pages into Picture of Dorian Gray, and will probably have to force myself to finish it. But I will try. The puggle is good, calming down a lot but still a handful every now and then. OK, I think that is it for now yo.
Oh yea...got a new laptop last week...sweet. Leave a comment
